Report abuse
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on OnlyMenu IO.
Reporting from the app (fastest)
Reporting inside the app is always better than email, because it attaches the identifiers we need to act on a single message rather than guess.
- A message: press and hold it, then choose Report.
- An account: open the profile, then Report. You can also Block to stop all contact, or Mute to stop notifications.
- A product or catalog: use the menu on the item.
Pick the reason that fits — spam, inappropriate content, harassment, fake account, or other. Reports are ordinarily reviewed within 24 hours. Violating content is removed and the accounts responsible are ejected; severe or repeated violations end in permanent termination.
Reporting by email
If you cannot use the in-app menus — you were blocked, uninstalled the app, or are reporting on someone else's behalf — email support@onlymenu.io with the subject Abuse report, and include:
- the username or display name of the account involved;
- where it happened — a direct chat, a group, or a catalog;
- roughly when it happened;
- what the problem is, in your own words.
What we can and cannot see. Message and catalog content is end-to-end encrypted, so we cannot read it and cannot scan for it proactively — moderation depends on reports like yours. When you report a message we receive an identifier for that message and for the conversation, group or catalog it came from, but never the message itself. That identifier is what lets us act on one message instead of a whole account, and recognise repeat reports about the same person.
It also means screenshots help. If you can safely attach one, do.
Emergencies
If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. We are a small team and cannot act at emergency speed. For reports involving the safety of a minor, or a credible threat of violence, put URGENT in the subject line.
What happens to the report
We keep the report, its timestamps, the reason and the evidence needed to act on it. Reports survive the deletion of either account, with the account link removed, so that deleting an account cannot erase a record needed to protect other people. Retention periods and your rights over those records are set out in the Privacy Policy.
